| Greetings! On behalf of the Daniel P. Figgins Memorial Foundation Board of Directors, we are pleased to be sending our newsletters out once again and online. As our list has grown, it has been impossible to catch up via email as many were not going out or being blocked by spam filters. Please let us know your comments, good and bad! Feel free to pass this along to your firends with the link at the bottom of this page. Our Mission: The mission of the Daniel P Figgins Memorial Foundation is to carry on the memory of Sgt. As of August 31, 2009 we have sent over 150 Officers! However we still have over 110 on the waiting list and it grows daily. Hopefully that list will decrease in the coming days with donations coming in. Upcoming Event On October 12, 2009, Elgin PD vs Chicago PD soccer match for charity @ 4PM, Toyota Park. The Elgin Club has agreed to donate their portion of the funds raised to the Foundation. Tickets are available for sale @ $22.00 for the match and for the Fire Vs Chivas USA on 10/22/09. It's a 2 for 1 ticket. See our website for flyer and contact information: Soccer Flyer |
In Memory Of Michael "Murph" Knorps, Heart attack at 51 years young. A close friend of the Gordon Family and a donation was made in his name that allowed us to test 5 officers. Richard D. " Dick " Lovett, age 70 former Chief Of Police for the Village Of West Dundee. The family asked that donations be made in memory of Dick to Special Olympics and the Foundation. Donations are still coming in and officers will be tested in memory of Dick. |
